German Shepherd dogs, as well as the other herding breeds that we have in rescue, are highly active, energetic, working breeds. They require considerable vetting, exercise, socialization, training, leadership and mental stimuli in order to be well-adjusted, well-balanced, and well-mannered dogs. Even if you exercise and play with your dog daily in your fenced yard, you MUST still take your dog out on daily walks and outings in order to work on his/her leash skills, manners, and social skills. These breeds make great additions to active families who will pamper them, but who will also work with them, as they are smart dogs who need leadership, structure, plenty of activity and mental stimulation.

Adrian is a fun, energetic 5 month-old boy. Adrian came from a local shelter where he was becoming very stressed out in the kennel environment. Adrian is delighted to be out of the shelter and is just thriving in his awesome foster home! He is a gorgeous, active, happy pup who loves to be on the go, and who approaches everything with enthusiasm :).

Adrian loves stuffed animals, balls, and chew toys. Adrian is currently teething and needs plenty of good chew toys, and to be reminded not to mouth when he tries to. He is potty-trained, is learning not to pull on the leash, and does well in the crate. He is smart, and he learns fast. Adrian will need his forever family to continue taking him lots of places to help socialize him, and to continue working on basic manners.

Adrian is a very sweet boy who adjusts well. Like all GSD youngsters, he will need plenty of exercise and activity. Adrian likes to play with other dogs. He does well with the young kids and kitty in his foster home, with good supervision, as he is all puppy and sometimes forgets his size :). He is a sweet boy, and like most GSDs, he loves to trail his foster mom around the house like a shadow!
