German Shepherd dogs, as well as the other herding breeds that we have in rescue, are highly active, energetic, working breeds. They require considerable vetting, exercise, socialization, training, leadership and mental stimuli in order to be well-adjusted, well-balanced, and well-mannered dogs. Even if you exercise and play with your dog daily in your fenced yard, you MUST still take your dog out on daily walks and outings in order to work on his/her leash skills, manners, and social skills. These breeds make great additions to active families who will pamper them, but who will also work with them, as they are smart dogs who need leadership, structure, plenty of activity and mental stimulation.

Slick is an adorable 10-week old puppy who was rescued from a reservation in SD. He arrived very sick with Parvo and had to be treated for several days, as he fought for his life. He is now fully recovered and ready for his furever home!

Slick is a sweet, fun-loving boy who loves people and other dogs. He likes to cuddle, he also likes to play with toys and loves to carry his tennis ball around. Slick has tons of energy and likes to be active and on the go! Slick is respectful of older dogs who prefer to be left alone. He is progressing with his potty-training and he is crate/playpen trained.

Slick is a smart, active, sweet, curious and inquisitive little guy who will delight his very lucky furever adopter.

Like all German Shepherd and German Shepherd mix puppies, Slick will need training, consistency, boundaries, and lots of activity and socialization, in order to become a well-balanced, well-behaved dog.
